“Well here we are,” she said. “I’m angry. I have no milk left in the fridge— I am tired. I may be catching a cold and I have you here, knocking on my door for the first time in four months because you just happened to be in my part of town.” She shook her head. “Do you have any idea— any idea just what you put me through, these past four months? And now I am supposed to go out of my way for your convenience? I shouldn’t have even let you in the door. What do you have to say to that?”
